SmartGeoMetrics was tasked with collecting 3D data of the interior of the Louise M. Davies Concert Hall for our client Obscura Digital. Our client was producing a video for projection on the various surfaces inside the Hall during a performance of John Adam’s Short Ride in a Fast Machine. The production featured rolling 3D projections of a collage of San Francisco landmarks and notable architecture. This was made possible by having a very accurate geometric model of the video’s screen which was, of course, the Hall itself.
